Ingredients
- Totinos pizza rolls
- Spray oil
Equipment
- Air Fryer
- Oil Mister
Instructions
Step 1: Make sure to pre-heat the air fryer. I'm not sure if all air fryers require the same amount of time, so check your instruction manual for how long you need to heat yours up for. For the one I have, I turn it on and set the timer for 3 minutes.
Step 2: Pull the air fryer basket out and place the frozen pizza rolls in a single layer on the bottom of it. Spray some oil on top of the pizza rolls. You will want to use something similar to PAM or one of these that you can fill up with olive or vegetable oil. Don't spray a TON on, but you should spray enough on the pizza rolls that you can see oil. Give the basket a good shake to spread the oil over all the pizza rolls.
Step 3: Place the air fryer basket back into the air fryer. Set the temperature to 380 degrees F and the cooking time to 5 minutes. After 3 minutes or about halfway through, pull the air fryer basket out and give it a good shaking. Mix those pizza rolls up so they heat up evenly.
Step 4: When the timer beeps, pull the air fryer basket out again and dump them onto a plate or into a bowl.
Step 5: The hardest step of all...wait..just a few minutes (3-5 minutes) for the pizza rolls to cool down. Otherwise, you'll find these pizza rolls are so hot they will burn your mouth just like hot pizza.
If you love pizza rolls, you'll love them even more cooking them in the air fryer compared to the oven or microwave.
We did do a taste test. Air fried pizza rolls vs deep fried pizza rolls.
There wasn't a clear winner. My husband and one child prefer deep fried and my other two sons prefer the air fried. I'm unable to eat tomatoes, so I wasn't able to be the tie breaker. Which do you prefer?
