You don't really need to worry about the timing since the air fryer lets you know when your time is up.
The veggies cook up to perfection. They aren't overcooked and they aren't undercooked.
The meat isn't quite the same as making fajitas on the stove, but it's pretty darn close.
You don't make much mess when making these. You need a cutting board, sharp knife, large bowl and a measuring spoon.
It's an easy-to-customize recipe for everyone in the family. You can choose which toppings you want on yours.
What are Fajitas?
Fajitas are traditionally made with grilled skirt steak, red onions, and bell peppers in a flour or corn tortilla.
Fajitas are typically topped with guacamole, cheese, and pico de gallo.
You'll find that fajitas are now made not only with beef, but chicken or shrimp as well. Chicken fajitas is a popular dish.
Tips
We've made these air fryer beef fajitas with both beef tenderloin and sirloin steak. You can also use either flank steak or a skirt steak.
You can use homemade fajita seasoning or store-bought fajita seasoning mix packet.
I used a basket air fryer and you might find that your cook time needs to change by a minute or two.
You can place the meat with the seasoning into the fridge for a couple of hours to help infuse the flavor into the meat. We used a fajita seasoning rub instead of making a marinade.
You can use any color bell peppers. I enjoy using a mix of yellow and red bell pepper.
Use some air fryer liners to help with cleaning your air fryer basket. You'll still have to clean your basket, but the liners really help to contain some of the mess.
Favorite Toppings
Lime wedges - squeeze some lime juice over the top
guacamole - make some fresh, homemade guacamole
sour cream
cilantro
salsa
cojita cheese or shredded cheese

How do you store and reheat fajitas?
Keep leftover steak & fixings in an airtight container.
They will keep stored in the refrigerator for about 3 to 4 days.
When reheated, this makes for an easy lunch by heating them at a lower temperature (200) so your steak won't get overcooked.
